Spherical concentrator is mainly composed of four parts: concentration tank, condenser, vapor-liquid separator, liquid receiving tank. It’s used to concentrate and evaporate liquids, and recover organic solvents in pharmaceutical, food, chemical industries. Characterized by concentration under reduced pressure and shorter concentration time, spherical concentrator will not destroy active ingredients in heat-sensitive materials. All parts of this equipment in direct contact with materials are made of stainless steel, which shows excellent corrosion resistance and guarantees a longer service life. It also meets GMP’s requirements in this regard.

 

Spherical Concentrator Working Principle:

Steam enters the jacket of the spherical tank, heats and boils the material solution, and vaporizes the moisture and other organic substances in the material, to realize vapor-liquid separation. Steam from the evaporation chamber is defoamed and then condensed into liquid before entering the liquid storage tank. Finally, the non-condensable gas is discharged into the atmosphere or taken away by a vacuum pump.

Spherical Concentrator Features:

1. This equipment is heated by a jacket structure under vacuum state. With optimized structure, lower evaporation temperature, higher evaporation capacity and faster concentration speed, it is suitable for concentration of heat-sensitive materials under low temperature and vacuum state, and soapy, foaming materials.

2. It has a compact structure and is easy to operate and clean. The relative density of its concentration could be as high as 1.3-1.4 (common herbal medicine extract). It could be used to reconcentrate the extract concentrated by other evaporators.

3. All parts of this equipment in direct contact with materials are made of stainless steel, which shows excellent corrosion resistance and is compliant with hygiene requirements in pharmaceutical and food industries.
