SCFE

Working Principle

Supercritical fluid(SF or SCF) is any substance at a temperature and pressure above its critical point, where distinct liquid and gas phases do not exist. It can dissolve materials like a liquid, and effuse through solids like a gas. Characterized by large density, low viscosity, high diffusion coefficent, it boasts good solubility and transfer properties. (When it's close to the critical point, supercritical fluid's solubility is very sensitive to changes of pressure and temperature. By controlling pressure and temperature, operator could conveniently control its solubility, transfer and reaction abilities.).
